President of the OceanBank's Trade Union Commended and Recognized

Hanoi, October 11, 2024, the Vietnam Banking Union (CĐNHVN) held a conference to commend outstanding grassroots trade union (CĐCS) chairpersons. Among them, Mr. Nguyễn Thế Hoàng – Chairman of the OceanBank grassroots trade union – was acknowledged and honored for his contributions to the OceanBank trade union in particular, and to the banking sector union at large.

Attending the conference were Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Đao Minh Tu - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Standing Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), Chairman of the Vietnam Banking Union; Ms. Nguyễn Khanh Chi - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Banking Union; and Mr. Tran Hong Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Banking Union.

Representing OceanBank were members of the leadership team, including Mr. Tran Trung Dung – General Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Mr. Nguyen The Hoang – Standing Deputy General Director and Chairman of the Trade Union, along with 95 exemplary CĐCS chairpersons under the Vietnam Banking Union.

In her opening speech at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Khanh Chi - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Banking Union, stated: "Over more than 30 years of establishment and development, with the mission of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of hundreds of thousands of union members and workers in the industry, under the close guidance of the Party Committee, the leadership of the SBV, and the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Banking Union has increasingly asserted its strong position and important role in the overall development of the banking sector. Contributing to the overall success of the Vietnam Banking Union is the indispensable role of grassroots trade unions, especially the crucial leadership of CĐCS chairpersons across the system."

At OceanBank, Mr. Nguyen The Hoang is well-known as an active and energetic grassroots trade union chairman, consistently working closely with professional leadership to direct activities and create favorable conditions for fulfilling the functions and duties of all parties involved. He has successfully represented and protected the rights of employees, ensuring employment, income, and the appropriate policies for union members and workers. Furthermore, he has promoted OceanBank's social welfare and charitable efforts, supporting improvements in the livelihoods of staff, officers, civil servants, and employees. In recognition of his contributions, Mr. Nguyen The Hoang has been awarded a commendation by the Vietnam Banking Union.

We congratulate Mr. Nguyễn Thế Hoàng on his achievements. OceanBank is confident that, with his sense of responsibility and enthusiasm, Mr. Nguyễn Thế Hoàng will continue to lead the OceanBank grassroots trade union to even greater accomplishments, contributing significantly to the development of the banking sector and the Vietnam Banking Union.
